They will be removing the paint covered <br />pedestrian barricades next week. <br />Mr, hennon requested Mr. Zackrocki, for the June 21 Commission <br />meeting, to come up with a schedule for the clean up and what- <br />ever is necessary, to spell it out. <br />The weekly and monthly River Bend Plaza Construction Schedules <br />were in the Commissioners packet and copies given to the news <br />media. <br />2) River Bend Plaza Schedule and Activities: Mr. Louis <br />N. Wi cox, Director of the River Bend Plaza, gave a report <br />for e ents scheduled for tomorrow morning on the Plaza, start- <br />ing ar 9 :30 a.m. He stated it was safe to say that all the <br />event will go off as scheduled for the full day. This was discussed <br />informally with the Commissioners on Monday, June 3. Three <br />Commis loners and Legal Counsel were present constituting <br />a quor M. <br />Also tie ordinance was discussed for the establishment of <br />the Di ision of Community Development, which the Mayor has <br />alread y done. This ordinance was introduced at the Common <br />Council meeting of May 28. The question raised is that <br />Indiana Statutes and ordinance establishes the cabinet form <br />Of gov rnment with the power to place executive boards, commis- <br />sions, authorities, departments, offices, divisions, and bureaus <br />within one of the principal executive departments to the Mayor <br />and not to the Council. <br />Either the Department of Community Development through Redevelop- <br />ment, or some semblance thereof, would begin to hold public <br />hearings with the Southeast PAC next week to get something done <br />- 13 - <br />
