NtW BUSINESS (Cont'd <br />Commission authorization was requested to approve final <br />contract to cover these services in amount not to exceed <br />$55,000.00. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney and unani- <br />mously carried, the contract for legal services with Hammer- <br />schmi t, Bonewitz & Roberts, in amount not to exceed $55,000.00 <br />was authorized <br />b. Demolition and Site Clearance Contract No. 2, A -10: <br />Authorization to advertise for this Contract was received in <br />Commission meeting of January 2, 1974. Advertisement appeared <br />in The South Bend Tribune and Tri- County News on January 18 <br />and 25, 1974. The certification of proofs of publication were <br />presented by Mr. Lennon. Donald Street <br />Sout Bend, IN 46613 <br />5,186.00 <br />Mr. ennon advised the staff recommendation after reviewing <br />is that the above contract be awarded to the low bidder, <br />Juli s O'Neal Trucking Company, in bid amount of $5,186.00. <br />On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney and unani- <br />mously carried, Demolition and Site Clearance Contract No. 2 <br />was awarded to Julius O'Neal Trucking Company, in bid amount <br />of $5,186.00, subject to approval of Legal Counsel and HUD <br />approval, and the President and Secretary authorized to enter <br />into a contract. <br />d. ADDroval of Change Order No. 2 to Demolition and Site <br />Clearance Contract No. 34: Approval was requested for Change <br />Order No. 2 to this Contract, for an extension of time of 40- <br />cale dar days, with the Jackson Wrecking Company, Rochester, <br />Indiana. The extension is requested because of weather condi- <br />tions which caused deep frost on the site and massive footing <br />concrete which delayed the completion of this work.
