Mr. Lennon requested Mr. Slabaugh to check out the possibility of using dynamite to break this type of concrete. Mr. Slabaugh said that Jackson Wrecking Company will not know the extent of the footings until he digs underneath it. Footings are placed on top of footi gs to go below the water level - -quick sand. Mr. Wiggi s advised that we have used dynamite in the past. The request is for a time extension only, no additional funds. On motion by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney and unani- mousl carried, Change Order No. 2 to Demolition and Site Clear nce Contract No. 34 was approved for extension of time to Ap it 16, 1974. _ d. Change Order No. 10 to Contract No. 5: This contract is with The Hickey Company, for the River Bend Plaza, R -66 Project. The change order is for an increase in contract amount of $7,780.56, with time completion unchanged. Extra work aas involved due to canopy footing revisions which were in co flict with the underground utilities and the reduction in size of the vault at Martha's Beauty Shop was in conflict with a canopy footing. Under emergency clause our staff had authorized this work to be done, with the price to be worked out aid agreed to by the Commission.
