Q it -Claim Deed: Authorization was requested for the <br />President ind Secretary to execute and deliver quit -claim deed <br />to the Citt of South Bend for use and benefit of its Department <br />of Public larks of Disposition Parcel No. 1 -1, R -66. <br />Mr. Lennon advised this is a small piece of land purchased by <br />a donor wh ) has requested this land be donated to the Park De- <br />partment t rough us and made into a Bicentennial Park. This <br />needs Commission authorization as it is in the R -66 area. <br />On motion y Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Rev. Williams and unani- <br />mously car ied, the President and Secretary were authorized <br />to execute the above quit -claim deed as noted. <br />In answer o the news media request as to who the donor is, <br />Mr. Lennon advised we will give the individual's name after <br />the meeting, but the individual needs to be contacted first <br />for public ty permission. <br />b. Public Welfare Extension: The Department of Public <br />Welfare has requested an extension of time to move from the <br />old School Administration Building to 300 North Michigan <br />Street Building, to March 15, 1974. The problem is the delay <br />in steel. Vault is required by the Federal Government which <br />houses all the food stamps. The Telephone Company in the <br />new system will not be in position to put the entire complex <br />in. They are asking for March 15 extension of time. Rental <br />is $800.00 per month. The demolition contract was awarded, <br />subject to notice to proceed. This motion is also subject <br />to Civic Center Authority approval. <br />On motion y Rev.
