6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont'd <br />incurred for getting the lot set up. At the termination of <br />the lease South Bend Parking Company, Inc. would remove any <br />removable items placed on the lot. <br />On motion by Rev. Williams, seconded by Mr. Wade and unani- <br />mously carried, authorization was granted for the execution <br />of the lease, subject to the changes to be made specified <br />above <br />f Annual Administrative Budget: Mr. Lennon presented <br />the A nual Administrative Bu get which should.be submitted to <br />HUD prior to the end of the year. With Commission approval, <br />this budget would be adopted in the Annual Organizational <br />Meeti g, as scheduled by Indiana Statutes on the first working <br />day of the year, which will be Wednesday, January 2, 1974. The <br />request is for a $200.00, per staff, annual increase. <br />Mr. Lennon advised our staff has been cut by 30 people over the <br />past year, with personnel services for the present year of <br />$544,230 which is being cut to $337,058 for '74, resulting in <br />a decrease of $207,172. The total budget for '74 is $404,521 <br />which is a reduction of $261,504 from '73, which was: $666,025. <br />Permission was requested by Mr. Lennon to submit the Annual <br />Admin strative Budget to HUD, as per copies submitted to the <br />Commissioners, and at the January 2, 1974 meeting to request <br />authorization to increase the annual salaries of our staff by <br />$200.00 per employee. Rev. Williams asked if this increase <br />would apply to all staff members, with Mr. Lennon replying <br />in th6 affirmative. <br />Motio was so made by Rev. Williams, seconded by Mr. Wade <br />and u animously carried. <br />Presi ent Helmen -- directing his comment to Mr. Lennon - -said, <br />"I wa t to say you have done a good job on this. It is <br />treme dous." <br />7.
