IOLD BUSINESS <br />a. Acquisition Parcel No. 12 -5: Mr. Kevin J. Butler, <br />Comm ssion Legal Counsel, requested authorization to dismiss <br />condemnation action on Acquisition Parcel No. 12 -5, (Disposi- <br />tion Parcel No. 4 -18), on the Brown property, located at <br />208-210 South Michigan Street, now referred to as the "St. <br />Joseph Bank -Brown Corporation Plaza One." <br />In Commission meeting of June 22, 1973, it was agreed to <br />dism ss our condemnation suit on the condition and at the <br />time that construction is started, no later than September <br />1, 1173, and on the further condition that substantial <br />work be undertaken by September 20, 1973, by the principles. <br />On S ptember 7, 1973, request was made to the Commission <br />to grant an extension to November 1, 1973, as the latest <br />start date for construction due to the long lead -time for <br />the shortage of the steel ordered. The extension was <br />authorized to the 1st of November to start construction, <br />and substantial progress by November 20,before the <br />cond �ave <br />mnation suit would be dismissed. <br />Mr. I <br />1 ex- <br />and I <br />the <br />utler advised construction did begin prior to November <br />ension date and substantial progress has been made, <br />egal Counsel requested Commission authorization for <br />ollowing that he recommends: <br />Motion <br />and un <br />items, <br />1) To authorize the Commission's attorneys <br />to take necessary action to dismiss the <br />condemnation action against the owners of <br />Acquisition Parcel No. 12 -5, Central Down- <br />town Project, Ind. R -66. <br />2) To authorize the President and the Secretary <br />of the Commission to enter into and execute <br />an agreement between the Commission and the <br />owners of Acquisition Parcel 12 -5, Central <br />Downtown Project, Ind. R -66, extending the <br />date for completion of the redevelopment <br />project until July 31, 1974. <br />was made by Mr. Wiggins, seconded by Mr. Chenney <br />nimously carried, to authorize the above two (2) <br />as requested by Commission Legal Counsel and noted. <br />ACQUISITION PARCEL <br />12 -5, CONDEMNATION <br />DISMISSAL AND AGREE- <br />MENT AUTHORIZED, <br />R -66 <br />
