4. <br />All <br />as <br />to <br />Cou <br />SEALED BIDS DISPOSITION PARCEL NO. 7 -1A (Cont'd) <br />The proposed facilities will be constructed of quality <br />materials and in like manner to the existing Royal Inn <br />parking facility. The improvements will be in accordance <br />with all regulations pertaining to the construction of <br />such facilities. The area will also be tastefully land - <br />scaped in an effort to optimize natural beauty. <br />locumentation was properly executed. Mr. Lennon requested, <br />!commended by our Legal Counsel, Commission authorization <br />!ceive the one (1) bid submitted and refer to our Legal <br />el for his review and recommendation. <br />Motion was made by Mr. Chenney that the bid submitted by <br />Earl Gagosian, for Disposition Parcel designated as No. 7 -1A, <br />be received and referred to Commission Legal Counsel, Mr. Kevin <br />J. Butler, for his review and recommendation. Said motion was <br />seconded by Mr. Wiggins and unanimously carried. <br />5. ICOMMUNICATIONS <br />a. HUD letter dated November 21, 1973: This letter, RELOCATION REPORT <br />over the signature of Mr. Joseph D. Panaro, Acting Assistant RESUBMITTED <br />Director, Planning and Relocation, advised our report on <br />relocation activities submitted June 30, 1973, contained a <br />number of errors. <br />Mr. Lennon advised the corrections are being made and will <br />be r1esubmitted. <br />b. HUD letter dated November 30, 1973: This letter, <br />over the signature of Mr. Choice Edwards, Acting Area Direc- <br />tor, was directed to the Honorable Jerry Miller, Mayor, re- <br />lative to Mr. Lennon's reply to the review of the South Bend <br />Rehabilitation Loan and Grant Programs, advising they have <br />foun1d our Department's response satisfactory. <br />The "hold" placed on the Model Cities Code Enforcement <br />Program E -6 is lifted as of December 1, 1973 and we are now <br />free to go ahead with that project. HUD was criticizing <br />one of our programs and this has now been corrected to <br />HUD's satisfaction. <br />Mr. Lennon said the staff is to be commended for the assign- <br />ment completion. <br />c. HUD letter dated November 30, 1973: This letter, <br />over the signature of Mr. Emil itu- Associate Regional <br />Counsel for Private Market Financing, Region V, HUD Chicago <br />Regional Office, advised the First Series 1974 Project Notes <br />have a closing date of January 29, 1974, in amount of <br />$10,000,000. Bid canvassing will be on January 2, 1974, at <br />1:00 p.m.., E.S.T., in the Office of the Department of Re- <br />development. The bids will be telephoned to Mr. Vitucci, <br />7 <br />MODEL CITIES <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT <br />PROGRAM, E -6, <br />RELEASED <br />PROJECT NOTES, <br />FIRST SERIES 1974, <br />BID OPENING: 1 -2 -74 <br />$10,000,000 - <br />IND.
