1997-2000 South Bend Fire Department Salary Ordinance <br /> Page 6 <br /> (f) Clothing/Uniform Allowance: Clothing/Uniform allowance shall be $ 795.00 per year <br /> for calendar years 1997, 1998, 1999,and 2000. Clothing allowance shall be paid in four (4) equal <br /> payments payable on or about March 15th,June 15th, September 15th and December 15th of each <br /> year. Clothing allowance shall be pro-rated to the date of termination of employment for all <br /> qualifying sworn members. Clothing allowance shall not be paid during the individual's first year <br /> of employment. It shall be pro-rated from the sworn member's first anniversary date until the end <br /> of that calendar year. <br /> (g) Holiday Pay: Holiday pay is established and shall be paid as set forth in Article 26 of <br /> the 1997-2000 Collective Bargaining Agreement approved by the Board of Public Safety of the <br /> City of South Bend,Indiana,and as may be amended from time to time. <br /> (h) Deferred Compensation: The City agrees to establish, effective January 1, 1997, a <br /> deferred compensation program whereby for the first one hundred dollars ($ 100.00) deferred by <br /> a sworn member each year, the City will match said amount $ .50 on the dollar, and for the next <br /> three hundred dollars($300.00) deferred by a sworn member each year, the City will match said <br /> amount,dollar for dollar. <br /> (i) Other Monetary Benefits: The following monetary benefits, namely: overtime, station <br /> allowance, sick leave buy-back,insurance, neo-natal pay, flexible time accounts, working-out-of- <br /> classification pay,and specific types of leaves are established;and any monetary payments shall be <br /> paid as addressed in the 1997-2000 Collective Bargaining Agreement approved by the Board of <br /> Public Safety of the City of South Bend,Indiana,and as may be amended from time to time. <br /> Section V. Effective Date.
