Main St. 2 -12 Volcano (Roma Restaurant), 219 N. Michigan St. 1 -13 King's Clothing Store, 321 S. Michigan St. 1 -15 Avon Theatre, 307 S. Michigan St. Resolutions affirming this action have been presented and ap- proved by the Area Plan Commission, on July 17, 1973, Resolu- tion No. 32; and the South Bend Common Council, on July 18, 1973. I presume that the Resolution and hearing is on Resolu- tion of the Redevelopment Commission, No. 456? A. It is a follow -up of the Declaratory Resolution No. 456, that is correct. Q. I also note that in the Resolution you are asking and declaring the Downtown Area, known as R -66, a blighted area? A. That is correct. Q. Hasn't this been done before and has it already -- the Resolution -- already been done? A. This is confirming what has been previously done, that is correct. Q. The Resolution doesn't refer to any confirming action. The Resolution asks to declare that R -66 is a blighted area. This Resolution is very similar to the one ori- ginally adopted many years ago upon which the downtown renewal project has been proceeding and I think there may be some kind of problem there. A. If you will notice it states on the public notice to amend the acquisition list and to make a minor land change. Every- thing else -- the boundaries -- are still the same, Mr. May. -3-
