C., spoke on the minority business partici- <br />ion and to have the minority participation and utiliza- <br />n of these loans in its fullest. <br />Mr. Alford advised all of the E.E.O. Directors in the State <br />of Indiana will be as a Technical Assistant Body to the <br />Association, which will be a vital part of the workage of <br />thE Association. <br />b. 1973 NAHRO North Central Regional Conference: 1973 NAHRO NORTH <br />Mr. William C. Ellison, Assistant Director, Re a i ita- CENTRAL REGIONAL <br />ti on Division, had attended this Conference and submitted CONFERENCE REPORT <br />a ritten report. The Conference centered around its <br />th (*ne: "Crossword 73." <br />A tour <br />was made of the Columbus Public Housing Urban Renewal <br />and <br />Senior Citizens Program. Mr. Ellison praised the pro- <br />grams <br />and attached a copy of the Senior Citizen brochure. <br />He <br />felt if a program similar to this one could be imple- <br />mented <br />in South Bend, it would be an asset to the City. <br />c. Business Relocation: Mr. John A. Kotzenmacher, <br />BUSINESS RELOCATION, <br />Business <br />Relocation Director, submitted his written re- <br />R -66 <br />port <br />for June, 1973. <br />One <br />claim of over $10,000, Vogue School of Beauty Culture, <br />was <br />submitted to the HUD Regional Office for approval. <br />d. Downtown Rehabilitation, R -66: Mr. Edwin R. Bauer, <br />DOWNTOWN REHABILITA- <br />Reh <br />bilitation Architect, submitted his written report for <br />TION, R -66 <br />the <br />month of June: <br />1) <br />Certificate of occupancy was issued to the new Royal <br />Inns Motel for the opening of business for lodging <br />facility, although many of the trades are still com- <br />pleting their work, notably in the food and beverage <br />wing.
