7. <br />2) <br />3) <br />4) <br />5) <br />6) <br />PROGRESS REPORTS (Cont'd) <br />Landscaping activity continues at the new postal <br />facility and the contoured concentric ring pool is <br />virtually completed according to the original concept. <br />Delayed steel shipments are responsible for delays <br />at Office Engineers East Building. The General Con- <br />tractor expects to roof over the two story facility <br />by the end of July. Underground utilities and added <br />water lines were completed while Michigan Street was <br />being torn up. <br />Masonry work continues at the JMS Annex at 123 West <br />Washington Street and the first floor is expected to <br />be closed this month. Interior partitioning for two <br />tenants and service corridor has been completed on <br />the lower level. One of the tenants will be The <br />Hoosier Dental Company with offices, storage and work- <br />rooms. The elevator shaft work is near completion <br />facing the service drive entrance. <br />Interior remodeling being finalized for Dr. Scholl's <br />Shoe Salon relocated at 305 South Michigan. The store <br />will match adjoining facades. The store is presently <br />being stocked. <br />Interior rennovation continues at Whitney C. Young <br />branch of the South Bend Urban League at 320 South <br />Main Street. <br />Mall construction and demolition work pertinent to clearing <br />the remaining sites in the downtown area continue on sche- <br />dul . As the construction work continues, there will be <br />man difficult months ahead but the continued confidence by <br />all concerned in the downtown sector still runs strong. <br />e.
