Phase III Contract (Mall): Mr. Lennon said we had PHADE III CONTRACT <br />tentative Commission approval for the Invitation of Bids to (MALL), R -66 <br />be published in The South Bend Tribune, on this Friday and <br />next Friday, April 13th, for the construction of the Urban <br />Renewal Project, Indiana R -66, Phase III, Pedestrian Way. <br />Item No. 1: General Work: Involves demolition, clearing, <br />grading, a variety of pavings, drainage, walls, <br />water lines, electrical installation, pools, <br />fountains, canopies, sculpture, street furni- <br />ture, and other work incidental thereto, as <br />one contract; and Contract <br />Item No. 2: Lawns and Planting Work: Includes finish grad- <br />ing, tops oi ing, sodding, planting, maintenance <br />(including maintenance equipment), and other <br />work incidental thereto. <br />Based on this invitation of bids, the Commission and the De- <br />partment of Redevelopment agreed there would be approximately <br />$352,400.00 set aside, which is approximately 1 /10 of the <br />total estimated cost of the Mall.
