<br />is that we pull out this approximately 10% and allow General
<br />Contractors--both minority and others - -to bid on separately
<br />and now amend the Invitation for Bids to allow subcontractors
<br />to be able to bid directly to the Redevelopment Commission
<br />and be opened and awarded to the lowest and best bidder.
<br />On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr. Wade and unani-
<br />mousl carried, staff was authorized to have Clyde E.
<br />Williams & Associates, Inc. prepare the necessary documents
<br />for publication and legal notice by addendum.
<br />5. COMMUNICATIONS
<br />HUD letter dated March 23,,1973: This letter,
<br />over the signature of Mr. Joseph D. Panaro, Rehabilitation
<br />Loan and Grant Representative, advised as a result of recent
<br />Chang s in the subassignment of fund for Section 312 Rehabi-
<br />litation Loans in Indiana, our current allocation is an addi-
<br />tiona $20,000 for E -3 loans and an additional $20,000 for
<br />E -5, r a total of $40,000.
<br />In re ponse to our letter of March 8, 1973 requesting funds
<br />for 1 )ans in Ind. R -57, for the present we are authorized
<br />to us loan monies from our Code Enforcement allocations
<br />for R-57, as we see fit.
<br />Mr. L nnon said this is loan money that needs to be received
<br />and a cepted.
<br />HUD letter dated March 23, 1973: This letter,
<br />over he signature of Mr. Mark L. Griffin, Chief, Architec-
<br />tural & Engineering, advised the Wage Determination, AM -362,
<br />as issued by the U.S. Department of Labor August 13, 1971
<br />and seven (7) modifications as issued in Federal Registers
<br />Volume 37 #53, dated March 17, 1972, Volume 37 #29 dated
<br />February 11, 1972, Volume 36 #229 issued November 27, 1971,
<br />Volume 36 #136 issued September 24, 1971, Volume 36 #205
<br />issued October 22, 1971 and Volume 37 #73 issued April 14,
<br />1972, are the minimum wages to be paid on the Demolition
<br />and S to Clearance Contract No. 31, Ind. Project R -66.
