Martin, Clerk <br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 39-2019— A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF WORKS FOR <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND INDIANA APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE CITY OF <br />SOUTH BEND ADVISORY PLAN COMMISSION <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. O'Sullivan and carried, the following <br />Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 39-2019 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF WORKS FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA APPOINTING A MEMBER TO THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND ADVISORY <br />PLAN COMMISSION <br />WHEREAS The City of South Bend, Indiana, under the authority of Ind. Code 36-7-4 et <br />seq., approved Ordinance No. 10669-19, confirming and approving the formation of the City of <br />South Bend Advisory Plan Commission and Advisory Board of Zoning Appeal. <br />WHEREAS Ordinance No. 10669-19 amended the South Bend Municipal Code at <br />Chapter 2, Article 5, to add a new Section 2-60 establishing the South Bend Advisory Plan <br />Commission effective December 1, 2019. <br />WHEREAS pursuant to Ordinance No. 10669-19, Section 2-60 of the South Bend <br />Municipal Code and Ind. Code 36-7-207, the South Bend Advisory Plan Commission is to be <br />comprised of nine (9) representatives as follows: <br />One (1) member appointed by the Common Council from its membership. <br />One (1) member appointed by the park board. <br />One (1) member or designated representative appointed by the city works board. <br />The city civil engineer or a qualified assistant, appointed by the city civil engineer, and <br />Five (5) citizen members, of whom no more than three (3) may be of the same political <br />Party, appointed by the Mayor. <br />WHEREAS this Resolution serves to appoint the one (1) member to serve as city public <br />works board representative on the City of South Bend Advisory Plan Commission. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />1AF:116 <br />The Board of Public Works for the City of South Bend hereby appoints Scott Ford, <br />Associate Vice President for Economic Development, University of Notre Dame, to serve as the <br />Board of Public Works appointee to the City of South Bend Advisory Plan Commission for <br />purposes identified in Common Council Ordinance No. 10669-19. <br />This appointment is effective December 1, 2019. <br />ADOPTED this 12th day of November 2019. <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />s/ Gary A.
