DOWNTOWN REHABILITA- <br />Bauer, Rehabilitation Architect, submitted the building TION, R -66 <br />activities for the month of July: <br />1) Morris Civic Auditorium's new heating plant and air <br />handling system is being installed, with air intake <br />grilles located in front vault area. <br />2) D umville- Guitarland and Music Store, 127 N. Michi- <br />gan, rehabilitation 95% complete. <br />3) New heating plant conversion unit being installed at <br />103 N. Michigan St., formerly Wyman's Dept. Store. <br />4) Dr. Scholl's Footwear, 106 N. Michigan Street, interior <br />remodelling completed. <br />5) P ans received for new building to be erected at South- <br />west corner of Wayne and Michigan Streets, subject to <br />Urban Design and Sign Review Committees. <br />6) 106-110 S. Michigan Street: Developer interested in <br />rehabilitating three -story edifice. <br />7) Family Book Stores, 124 S. Michigan Street: New build- <br />ing progressing -- foundation and sidewalls completed. <br />8) J C. Penney Dept. Store, 220 S. Michigan Street: In- <br />terior renovation completed. <br />9) S erland Building, Jefferson and Michigan: Work pro- <br />gressing on upper floors. <br />10) Dr. Bird, 108 N. Main Street: Professional office space <br />c mpleted. <br />d Merry Avenue Project: Mr. Larry Wartha submitted MERRY AVENUE PROJECT <br />his re ort on this project: <br />1)0% complete: PAC organized, PAC meeting on benefits, <br />Declaratory Resolution, Diagnostic <br />Survey for Relocation, building inspec- <br />tion and project photograph. <br />8)% complete: Part I - II application to HUD, Section <br />R -212, 213 & 214 by Mike Obringer. <br />7)% complete: Section R -222, R -223 and R -225. <br />6 % complete: Maps - -2 of 12 maps complete.
