N <br />BUSINESS (Cont'd <br />On motion by Mr. Wade, seconded by Mr. Wiggins, the <br />Water Company Force Account, in Phase I, was approved <br />for an increase of $3,958.77. Motion was unanimously <br />carried. <br />h. Option Agreement: Approval and authorization OPTION AGREEMENT <br />was requested for the President to sign one (1) Option AUTHORIZED, PARCEL <br />Agreement, in the LaSalle Park Urban Renewal Project, NO. 1 -18, R -57 <br />R -57, for Parcel No. 1 -18, located at 138 South Meade <br />Stree , for a purchase price of $2,565.00. <br />On motion by Mr. Wade, seconded by Mr. Wiggins, the <br />above stated Option Agreement was accepted and the <br />Presi ent authorized to sign. Motion was unanimously <br />carried. <br />i. Commercial Lease: Authorization was re- <br />quest Ed to execute Commercial Lease prepared by the <br />Department of Redevelopment and the Board of Public <br />Works Division of Facilities, Bureau of Municipal <br />Parki g of the City of South Bend for use of surface <br />parking, at 218 -222 East Jefferson Boulevard (Parcel <br />13 -1) the former location of Honda, for monthly rental <br />fee o $10.00. This is already leased and operated by <br />the City, under our previous agreement. <br />On mo ion by Mr. Wade, seconded by Mr. Wiggins, the <br />Presi ent was authorized to execute the above Commercial <br />Lease Motion unanimously carried. <br />COMMERCIAL LEASE <br />APPROVED, PARCEL NO. <br />13 -1, R -66 <br />Resolution No. 405: This Resolution authorizes RESOLUTION NO. 405 <br />the f ling of HUD Form 6144, request for concurrence in ADOPTED, R -66 <br />acqui ition price of Parcel No. 10 -1, Ind. R -66. <br />The old County Jail was demolished and this is a credit <br />for contribution. The County bought the site at the <br />cornet, of Lafayette and Jefferson. We have their check, <br />but the deed has not been transferred to them as yet. <br />Mr. W ggins moved for the adoption of Resolution No. <br />405, econded by Mr. Wade, and unanimously carried. <br />Resolution No. 406: This Resolution declares <br />the Merry Avenue urban renewal area to be blighted and <br />approves urban renewal plan and conditions for relocation <br />payme ts. It is in the Model Neighborhood Area, bounded <br />by Washington Street on the North, Olive on West, Grant <br />on Ea t and Merry Avenue on South. This area contains <br />twent -six (26) residential families and two (2) commercial <br />busin sses. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 406 <br />ADOPTED, R -66 <br />
