W,
NEW BUSINESS (Cont'd)
Mr. Chenney moved for the adoption
40 and 404, seconded by Mr. Wade
ca ried.
of Resolution Nos.
and unanimously
1. Change Order No. 2 to Demolition Contract No.
23-B: This Change Order requests an extension of
ninety (90) calendar days to perform the demolition
wo k on Contract 23 -B. This delay was due to not re-
ceiving HUD signatory approval sooner. The bids were
taken on January 12 and HUD concurrence to award the
contract was not received until May 1. Legally a bidder
onl needs to hold their bid for sixty (60) days, after
which time the bidder can state they are no longer inter-
ested.
The recommendation to the Commission is they authorize
the extension of time. The change order is dated May 19,
1972 and the ninety (90) day extension would be from
that date. The contractor will probably complete it
in less time. If this was to be re- advertised and rebid
it Would take longer.
On otion by Mr. Wade, seconded by Mr. Chenney, Change
Or er No. 2 to Demolition Contract No. 23 -B was approved
an unanimously carried.
CHANGE ORDER NO. 2
TO DEMOLITION CONTRACT
23 -B APPROVED, R -66
m.
