6. (i) Cont'd- <br />j. Commission authorization for approval of Change Order No. 5 <br />Contra .-t Phase II -A, IND R -66 with Ho%A;el7 Construction Co.: his <br />is a C ange Order to reflect the increase in the quantity of "Class <br />B Borr w" used as backfill in the retaining wall excavation. A <br />higher quantity of unsuitable material was encountered in the <br />excavation than was indicated by the borings. <br />Motion for approval of Change Order No. 5 increasing the contract <br />by $59,775 was made by Rev. Williams, seconded by Mr. Chenney and <br />unanimously carried. <br />k. Cormission authorization to advertise for bids for sale of <br />IND R-56 Parcel 8 -3; authorization also requested for minimum <br />acce t ble bid price for said parcel: Mr. Taylor explained that <br />this p rcel includes the Peanut Shop south to the Avon, Theatre <br />on Mic igan Street. We have a letter of interest regarding this <br />parcel but we do not divulge the names of interested parties. <br />We have three appraisals on this parcel (1) $11.20 per sq. ft., <br />(2) $9,60 per sq..ft. and (3) $9.50 per sq. ft., for an average <br />price of $10.10. You can set the price between $9.55 which is <br />the average of the two lower figures and the high of $11.20. We <br />recommend the $10,10 figure which is the average. On motion by <br />Mr. Ch nney, seconded by Rev. Williams, authorization to advertise <br />for bids was granted and minimum bid price was established at <br />$56,65 (using the per square foot average prise). Motion carried <br />unanim usly. <br />1.
