Motion was seconded by Rev. Williams <br />and unanimously carried. <br />Mr. C. J. Davis was in the audience and said he will try <br />bidding again on the next contract. Mr. Bruce C. Hammer- <br />schmi t, Commission Legal Counsel, advised that legally <br />the Commission cannot accept an incomplete bid. Our . <br />hands are tied by State Law and there is no flexibility. <br />Mr. Wiggins suggested Mr. Davis counsel with our staff <br />to ma a sure all necessary steps have been taken to <br />submi a bid document. The Commission and staff are <br />very nxious to have all demolition contractors bid. <br />f Change Order No. 6 to Contract 1, Phase I: CHANGE ORDER NO. 6 <br />Commission authorization was requested for Change Order TO CONTRACT 1, PHASE I, <br />No. 6 to Contract 1, Phase I, with Rieth -Riley Construc- AUTHORIZED, R -66 <br />tion Co., Inc., for an increase in contract price of <br />$32,951.55, covering the following changes: <br />A. A ditional street pavement removal required for <br />M nroe Street sewer construction. <br />B. Additional removal of curb damages by the :Columbia <br />'Warehouse fire and for relocation of entrance to <br />Valley Equipment Company. <br />C. A ditiona l common excavation required from Station <br />2)+50 to Station 35 +00 Line "D" and for removal of <br />c ncrete bases at Michigan and Monroe Streets and <br />a the Birdsell Building. <br />
