The Commision, in meeting of September 17, 1971, deleted a portion of this work, for Additive Alternate 1, in t e amount of $6,144.00, for artistic treatment on the retaining wall. This is a change order to add work at this point. The description of the changes are: 1. Additional bituminous pavement removal- in Parking Lot south of Colfax Street. CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 TO CONTRACT 1, PHASE II -A, APPROVED, R -66 Increase in Decrease in Contract Price Contract Price $ 462.50" t. Removal of fence in wall line area. - .800.00 Removal of guard post, 60 @ $5.00 300.00 2. Deletion of Contract Item No. 37, ecorative outside face of wall. $6,144.00 Total $1,562.50 $6,144.00 The et change in contract price is $4,581.50 -- decrease. Pres dent Helmen asked if the Cultural Center is doing some hing about the wall, as they were interested in havi g some type of put -on decorative treatment later. It w s decided to make the wall plain with add -on; sket hes and samples forthe artistic treatment to be submitted for Commission approval. Mr. labaugh advised this was changed.so that the Cultural people would-have a chance to see different type of artistic treatment. The bituminous pavement remo al and guard posts are demolition and will be taken off 1he demolition contract.
