6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont'd <br />Mr. W ggins moved Mr. Barbe attend, seconded by Mr. <br />Chenn y and unanimously carried. <br />k. Dwelling House Lease & Option Agreement: Mr. <br />Bruce C. Hammerschmidt, Commission Legal Counsel, re- <br />quested approval of a dwelling house lease and Option <br />Agreement, on the Loretta Daly property, Parcel No. 28 -15, <br />at 64 East Monroe Street, R -66, and authorization for <br />the P esident and Secretary to sign. Mr. Hammerschmid t <br />advis d this will not be closed until after February lst <br />and p rt of the property is needed in the area for the -con- <br />struc ion of the new sewer. <br />Dwelling House Lease: The lease is with Mrs: <br />Loretta Daly and,the Department of Redevelop- <br />ment, for use of the premises solely and exclu- <br />sively as work space for construction of sewer, <br />for a period of six months -- beginning the 3rd <br />day of September, 1971. The Department of Re- <br />development, as the tenant, is to pay the sum <br />of $1,000.00 for this term.for said use. <br />Option Agreement:: This Option Agreement is <br />for the concurred -in price of $12,535.00. <br />On motion by M! Chenney, seconded by Mr. Wiggins, the <br />Lease was approved for .said use for a period of six <br />months in the amount of $1,000.00, and the Option Agree- <br />ment approved for concurred -in price of $12,535.00; and <br />the P esident and Secretary authorized to sign both docu- <br />ments. We will have the right <br />to advertise for demolition a little after the middle of <br />March, and by the end of April we can have the building <br />demolished. Everything can be set up and be ready to go. <br />Above motion was made.by Mr. Wiggins, seconded-by Mr. <br />Chenn and unanimously carried. <br />c <br />Contract 1 for Phase II -A: In Special Commission CONTRACT 1 FOR PHASE <br />meeting of August 9, 9 , Contract 1 for Phase II -A was II-A APPROVED, R -66 <br />award Ed to Howell Construction Company, with the Additive <br />Alternate 1, for a total bid of $682.,204.301, subject to HUD <br />concurrence. <br />in <br />
