McCaffer CompAny Company Sign, R -56: The Sign Com- <br />mittee and Redevelopment Commission had previously ap- <br />proved a dual sign for McCaffery Company and South <br />Bend Supply Company, at the corner of Cotter and <br />Prairie Streets. Since then, the McCaffery Company <br />has d cided to place their own lighted sign further <br />East, at the Northwest corner of their property. <br />South Bend Supply Company has decided not to have <br />a fre - standing sign, but to use their logo attached <br />to the West elevation'of the building, facing Prairie <br />Avenue, with the name only along the North elevation <br />facin Cotter Street - -both' not lighted. <br />As the McCaffery sign is lighted, its acceptance -is­ <br />depen ent upon Redevelopment Commission action to <br />waive the project specification, as free = standing or <br />lighted signs are prohibited. 'The McCaffery sign° is <br />3' high, 11' wide; lighted and free- standing. <br />President Helmen said we are accommodating just-two <br />firms--who purchased the whole section, Ind. R -56. <br />The structures are beautiful` and the' Commission felt <br />we sh uld accommodate the firms and be flexible in- <br />this ase. <br />On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr'. Wiggins, <br />the signs for McCaffery Company and the South Bend <br />Supply Company were approved as stated above. Said <br />motion was unanimously carried. <br />McCAFFERY COMPANY & <br />SOUTH BEND SUPPLY COMPANY <br />SIGNS APPROVED, R -56 <br />f. Area East of Dis osit-ion'Parcels, Nos. 9 -1, AREA EAST 'OF DISPOSITION <br />9 -8 and 9 7-9,a ded to Mall, , R -66: An area which is a PARCELS; NOS. 9 -1, 9 -8 & <br />porti n of South Michigan Street will be incorporated 9 -9, ADDED TO MALL, R -66 <br />into the Mall and.receive Mall treatment. It is the - <br />wedge of land, bounded on`the East by the new eastward <br />sweep of Michigan Street and on the West- by' Parcels <br />9 -1, -8 and 9 -9 South of Western Avenue, and will'be <br />come he South end of the Mall. <br />On mo ion by Rev.
