This includes NO. 16, R -66 <br />the tack and ties on East Western Avenue in Howard <br />Park and entire brige at St. Louis Boulevard, R -66 <br />Project. The rails only are to be removed from the <br />trestle across the river, later to be a pedestrian <br />crossing. <br />Mr. H mmerschmidt advised the Grand Trunk Ra.ilroa:d <br />wants no salvage. The Park Department will want all <br />the ties and some 100 to 200 feet of rail left in <br />place in area between trestle and St.` Louis Boule- <br />vard. <br />On mo ion by Mr. Wiggins., seconded by Mr. Chenney, <br />the a vertising was authorized for Demolition Contract <br />No. 1 , and motion unanimously carried. <br />Change Order No. l to Demolition Contract No.CHANGE.ORDER NO. 1 TO <br />7 -B: This covers t deet moliti'on. and backfill of DEMOLITION CONTRACT NO. <br />vaulted sidewalk in front of Parcel No.13 -6, which .7 -B AUTHORIZED, R -66 <br />is the Dana Cook Building, located at 215 East Wayne <br />Street. The sidewalk dimensions are 20 feet by.55 <br />feet y 8 feet deep. The front wall_is to be removed. . <br />This work is necessary due,to road construction, in. <br />Phase I, and is an increase, in contract price of <br />$1,100.00, with no change in time. <br />A discussion followed on change orders.and.the re- <br />comme dation was made for the professionals and our. <br />staff to investigate and use foresight prior_to. <br />professionals supplying bids. Unforeseen exceptions <br />may occur resulting in change orders being in order <br />and n cessary, which may result in increases and /or <br />decre ses in cost. <br />On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr..
