6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont'd <br />upon th Commission's'acceptance of the New Uniform <br />Relocat on Act as part of the amendment, and as covered <br />by the ext resolution, No. 340. <br />Resolut on No. 339 was then tabled for the next Commission <br />meeting pending receipt'of explanatory information be <br />forehan - <br />b. Resolution No. 340: This Resolution provides <br />issuanc s pursuant to Uniform Relocation Assistance and <br />Real Property Acquisition Policy Act of 1970 for the <br />LaSalle Park Project, R -57. The effective date of the <br />Act for Displacement and /or Rent Acquisition is January <br />2, 1971 signed by President Nixon. <br />Any further relocation within the LaSalle Park Project <br />would be subject to increased payments -_ particularly <br />the house replacement payment =- from $5,000 to $15,000. <br />It also includes a $4,000 maximum relocation payment <br />opposed to a present $1,000. Over a four -year period, <br />a renter could, with certain eligibility satisfied, <br />receive a maximum of $4,000. Instead of 'the 100% Federal <br />Project item, this would become 1/3 - 2/3, as shared by <br />the City and the Federal Government; 'respectively. <br />Mr. Wig ins asked how many more relocations are antici- <br />pated ir LaSalle Park. Mr. B arbe advised that there <br />would n t be more than about ten families. <br />Mr. Bar a advised the finalized regulations -have not; <br />as yet, been received. <br />The Chair entertained a motion to table this for the <br />next Commission meeting and all data is to be submitted <br />to the ommission for review prior to the meeting. Said <br />motion was made by Mr. Helmen, seconded by, Mr..-Wig-gins.,.. <br />and una imously carried. <br />c. Critical Path in Management System: A master <br />timetable and scheduling procedure was thought to be <br />necessa y as related to the impending utility, street <br />and sidewalk contracts. This is needed to avoid delays, <br />and cor elate progress of various contractors, toward a <br />set com letion date. <br />Mr. Bill Slabaugh gave a summarization of such a plan <br />which will enable the staff to tell businessmen and con- <br />tractors at a glance exactly what is going on at all <br />times;as well as pinpointing crucial phases of the <br />construction and helping to plot alternate-paths to com - <br />pletion in case of delays by contractors. <br />-7- <br />RESOLUTION'NO. 340, <br />UNIFORM RELOCATION <br />ASSISTANCE & REAL <br />PROPERTY ACQUISITION <br />POLICIES ACT OF 1970, <br />TABLED, R -57 <br />CRITICAL PATH SYSTEM <br />AUTHORIZED, R -66 <br />
