4. COMMUNICATIONS (Cont'd <br />Mr. Bruce C. Hammerschmidt, Commission Legal Counsel,. ad- <br />vised the property will be available'at the end of March, <br />after the present tenant vacates. The present rental is <br />not a fair or reasonable rent as it was included in the <br />acquisition price. HUD rules that rental should be 1% <br />of the price, which was $41,535.00. $415.00 <br />per mon �urchase <br />h rent would result. <br />On moti n by Rev. Williams, seconded by Mr. Wiggins, <br />the sug ested rental was authorized at $415.00 per <br />month, cn a month -to- month lease basis. The motion <br />was una imous by the Commission. <br />5. OLO BUSINESS <br />a. Addendum No. 5 to Chas. W. Cole & Son, Inc. ADDENDUM N0. 5,; TO <br />Contract : In Commission meeting of February 5, 1971, -' CHAS. W. COLE & SOIV, <br />Addendum No. 5 was approved for 200 parcels @ $35.00 INC. CONTRACT, R -57 <br />for eac platted lot. <br />Chas. W. Cole & Son, Inc. is asking to have this in <br />creased, as the contract .is four years old and the going <br />rate is $75.00 per lot. They are reducing the on going.. <br />rate fr m $75.00 to $60.00 because'of the old contract. <br />The Com ission was of the opinion the amount is' too <br />high. Our contract with the firm is an open end con- <br />tract, iAith changes in prices to be in.mutual.agreement. <br />After discussion, motion was made by Mr. Helmen that we <br />offer $ 0.00 per platted lot survey, seconded by Rev. <br />Williams, and unanimously carried. <br />b. Handout or Mailing Brochures: A sample brochure <br />was presented to t e Commissioners. for their approval <br />and /or suggestions as printed by the Golden Rule Press, <br />Elkhart, Indiana, same having been discussed in Special <br />Commission Meeting of February 2, 1971. <br />On motion by Rev. Williams, seconded by Mr.. Helmen, the <br />brochures were authorized to be printed by the Golden <br />Rule Press, at a cost of $1,145.96 for 10,000 copies, <br />which is approximately 1 -1/2¢ per copy. <br />6. NEWT BUSINESS <br />a. Resolution No. 339: This Resolution approves <br />and provides for the execution of,the Sixth Amendatory <br />Contract amending Contract No. Indiana R -57. Mr. Barbe <br />explained that this is the amendatory we had approved <br />by HUD several months ago, increasing the rehabilitation <br />grants ih LaSalle Park.
