7. PROGRESS REPORTS a. Relocation Progress Report: Rev. Kirk gave the fo lowing report: Central Downtown Urban Renewal Project, R -66: Workload: 25 individuals and 7 families. Relocated to date: 3 families and 6 individuals. LaSalle Park Urban Renewal Project, R -57: Workload: 4 families. .3 of these families are going into.Sales Housing and 1 into Public Housing. Industrial Expansion Urban Renewal Project, R -56: Workload: 2 families. Both waiting for Public Housing -- one family will be moving within the next three days. City -Wide Relocation: Workload: 15 families. In April, two fami- lies were relocated; in May, four families. One of these families were relocated in the Central area because of housing shortages. Diagnostic Survey: Interviews completed to date: 18. Rev. Kirk stated they have some need for social ser- vices and employees with a social background are a tremendous help. Rev. Kirk stated he has encountered some extenuating circumstances he had not known existed and some were quite bad. Mr. Helmen asked what phase of this the City will take over? Mr. Ebel advised it will be the rehabilitation division, and this cannot be done until we get a status report on LaSalle Park in order to contract. President .Wilhelm asked if he hoped to have it by the next Commission meeting? Mr. Ebel said it will be ready for the meeting. b. Business Relocation: Mr. Harrison Miller advised the staff reviewed the inventory to be moved by Souti Bend Supply Company at the time the new buildin3 in the Industrial Expansion Project is completed.
