7. PROGRESS REPORTS <br />a. Relocation Progress Report: Rev. Kirk gave <br />the fo lowing report: <br />Central Downtown Urban Renewal Project, R -66: <br />Workload: 25 individuals and 7 families. <br />Relocated to date: 3 families and 6 <br />individuals. <br />LaSalle Park Urban Renewal Project, R -57: <br />Workload: 4 families. .3 of these families <br />are going into.Sales Housing and <br />1 into Public Housing. <br />Industrial Expansion Urban Renewal Project, R -56: <br />Workload: 2 families. Both waiting for <br />Public Housing -- one family will <br />be moving within the next three <br />days. <br />City -Wide Relocation: <br />Workload: 15 families. In April, two fami- <br />lies were relocated; in May, four <br />families. One of these families <br />were relocated in the Central area <br />because of housing shortages. <br />Diagnostic Survey: <br />Interviews completed to date: 18. <br />Rev. Kirk stated they have some need for social ser- <br />vices and employees with a social background are a <br />tremendous help. Rev. Kirk stated he has encountered <br />some extenuating circumstances he had not known <br />existed and some were quite bad. Mr. Helmen asked <br />what phase of this the City will take over? Mr. Ebel <br />advised it will be the rehabilitation division, and <br />this cannot be done until we get a status report on <br />LaSalle Park in order to contract. President .Wilhelm <br />asked if he hoped to have it by the next Commission <br />meeting? Mr. Ebel said it will be ready for the <br />meeting. <br />b. Business Relocation: Mr. Harrison Miller <br />advised the staff reviewed the inventory to be moved <br />by Souti Bend Supply Company at the time the new <br />buildin3 in the Industrial Expansion Project is <br />completed.
