7. PRgGRESS REPORTS (Cont'd <br />prior to the actual moving date. Staff is seeking to <br />justify special assistance needed to prepare and code <br />the inventory for South Bend Supply. We are having <br />severa bids prepared. <br />Staff reports that five prime retail locations could <br />be made available to persons displaced by renewal. <br />Two of these opportunities are on the ground level <br />of the J.M.S. Building and there are three store- <br />rooms available in the Sherland Building. Mr. Helmen <br />asked if staff had spent time with the McCaffery <br />Company in regard to their move? Mr. Miller answered <br />that contact would be made in the next few weeks and <br />they would certainly be given every consideration <br />which s to be given to the larger South Bend Supply <br />Company. President Wilhelm asked when the new South <br />Bend Supply Company building would be completed <br />and Mr Ebel stated that he did not know the con- <br />struction schedule,.but based on discussions with <br />both oviners and Mr. Hammerschmidt, it .should be ready <br />before January 1, 1971.
