Ebel, Associate <br />Director, <br />as Acting Director -- effective March 16, <br />1970--and <br />to serve in that capacity until such time <br />as <br />an Executive Director.is appointed. The Acting <br />Director <br />is authorized and directed to.execute, on <br />behalf <br />of the Department of Redevelopment, any and <br />all <br />documents requiring the signature of the Execu- <br />tive <br />Director. <br />7. <br />PROGRESS REPORT <br />a. Business Relocation: Mr. Harrison Miller <br />gave <br />a progress report on business relocation in <br />thE <br />Central Downtown Urban Renewal Project, R -66, <br />an ( <br />said he was quite pleased with the cooperation <br />of <br />business concerns who have shown concern in the <br />- <br />pa !t <br />and are making provisions to relocate well in <br />ad <br />ance of time actually needed to have possession <br />an ( <br />vacancy of given parcels. Several business <br />concerns <br />are making definite plans to construct <br />nev <br />buildings on sites they have already purchased. <br />Mr. <br />Miller stated he and Paul Becher have hand- <br />carried <br />to the principal -of the affected business <br />concerns <br />informational statements and have 84 signed <br />receipts. <br />Continued contact is maintained with all <br />si <br />a occupants by the relocation staff people. With- <br />in <br />the next few weeks,-he said they hope to report <br />everyone <br />has been contacted and relocation problems <br />discussed, <br />along with the procedures on moving and <br />re <br />ocation payments. <br />b. Relocation Progress: <br />1) LaSalle Park Project R -57: Rev. Billy <br />W. <br />Kirk stated he was pleased with the relocation <br />progress <br />in LaSalle Park. Workload consists of four <br />families <br />and one individual; one family will move into <br />Public <br />Housing, one into Rent Supplement Housing, one <br />having <br />a home built, other is in the process of buy- <br />in <br />The individual is moving into Rent Supplement <br />Ho <br />sing.
