This is the-City's first effort and the <br />area sel cted had all the amenities for a success- <br />ful prog am. <br />Mrs. Janet Allen asked: The City takes care of <br />demolition in regular procedures and City takes <br />bids on demolition and they would have to pay <br />it, and it would become a lien on the property? <br />Mr. Bellinger apprised that the mechanics would <br />be about the same. The City would submit for <br />bids, but there would be no lien against the prop- <br />perty. <br />The Chai entertained a motion for adoption of <br />Resoluti n No. 283, authorizing and approving <br />the subm ssion of a Code Enforcement Grant Ap- <br />plicatio to the Common Council of the City of <br />South Bend and to the Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development. On motion by Mr. Wilhelm., se- <br />conded by Mr. Chenney, Resolution No. 283 was <br />approved and unanimously passed by all Commis- <br />sioners. <br />c. Clyde E.
