Mrs. Szabo is just outside of the boundary for the LaSalle Park;Urban Renewal Project, R -57, and Mr.-Bellinger apprised thus far no successful communication has been received from the UD office to assist.Mrs. Szabo. Mr. Helmen- stated that the Project line had to be drawn somewhere. Mr. Bellinger apprised that the home, in question appears to be in good repair. Authorization was requested from the Commission to "secure proposals from competent professional consultants and have this information.for the Commission's consideration as soon as possible. On motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr, Felmen, the staff'was authorized to-.contact con sult nts interested in-this work. Mrs. Janet Allen urged the Commission to concentrate on the Ohio - Keasey area and not the whole: project area. President Wiggins stated the Neighborhood Development Concept provides that a large target area can be picked out, but can chart a course on.an annual basis and assign priorities He stated" the_ Commission and staff are in accord with Mrs. Allen's request and the Ohio - Keasey area should be the first actin area. Mr, Bellinger read Resolution No. 207 -69, in which the Common Council requests the'Redevelopment Com- mission to initiate steps to invest -igate and develop an Application for a Neighborhood Development Program covering the general area located south of the central business district with priority consideration given to the area generally referred to as the Ohio - Keasey area, adopted the 10th day of March, 1969, by-the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana. -5-
