PUBLIC HEARING ON PART I OF LOAN AND GRANT CONTRACT: <br />The Commission was advised that the Common Council would act <br />upon the Resolution approving the Downtown Plan and feasi- <br />bility of relocation, Monday evening, September 9, 1968. The <br />Redevelopment Commission--upon f * avorable action by the Council <br />on subject Resolution--may schedule the required public hear- <br />ing for the Central Downtown Urban Renewal Project, R-66. The <br />staff apprised the Commission of the recent ruling by the <br />Indiana Supreme Court stating that sufficient time should be <br />provided after the public hearing for possible remonstrance <br />before final action upon the required Resolution. Arguments <br />have been presented stating that sufficient time for review <br />and discussion is not available at a public hearing, and the <br />Supreme Court felt the argument was justifiable. It was the <br />consensus of the Commission to select a spec - ial.meeting date <br />upon the conclusion of the public hearing for the p7tirpose of <br />acting on the required Resolution.
