The remaining.$6, 000
will be for disp
sition abstract and 'title services. -The rate
for each property
is figured- on a sliding scale, with the
maximum rate cf
$70. 00 established in'the contracts. The property
management pol cy also proposes the establishment of rentals
of properties after they become acquired by the Department.
Generally, the policy would be: (1) existing recitals will be
continued; (2) in no case would a rental be in excess of 20/o
of the total acqu7 I sition price applied as monthly rental; .(3) any
significant deviation from the first two steps would require that
the rental be discussed with and be approved by the Redevelopment
Commission. It is not the intent of the Redevelopment Department
to profit from r ntals received. On the contrary, the Redevelopment
Department is required to make normal maintenance to the properties
and to establish a fair rental so that relocation might be expeditiously
accomplished, The Commission approved and adopted the property
management pol cy as discussed on the motion by Mr. Helmen,
and seconded by Mr. Koczan.
-4-
