5. PR2GRESS REPORTS <br />a. A meeting was held the evening ,of August 10, 1966, <br />at the New Salem Baptist Church in the LaSalle Park Project: <br />area. Mr. Bohannon of ;the newly organized Concerned <br />Citizens Committee chaired the meeting very well, and <br />Mayor Allen answered questions` effectively: Discussion <br />center d mostly on the proposed; park development, and <br />urban enewal. <br />b Rumors spread so rapidly throughout the LaSalle <br />Parka ea, and the Redevelopment Commission urges all <br />people to contact the Redevelopment staff for facts. It is <br />difficult to arrive at the source of rumors, but much good <br />could b accomplished if people would direct all questions <br />to the Tffice of the Redevelopment Department. <br />LASA LLE PARK <br />MEETING <br />AUGUST 10, 1966 <br />INFORMATION <br />The next regular Commission meeting will be held NEXT MEETING <br />September 1, 1966, at 10 :30 a.m., in the office of <br />the Redevelopment Department. <br />6.
