NEW BUSINESS <br />a Upon the motion by Mr Helmen, seconded by Mr. Koczan., RESOLUTION <br />the Commission unanimously approved - Resolution No. 144 which 144 <br />authorizes execution of contract for sale of land in the. Chapin, CHAPIN STREET <br />Street Project, known as Parcel No. 1, to the :Housing- Authority R: -29 <br />of South Bend, subject to approval of Commission Attorney. The <br />Resolution authorizes the Redevelopment Commiasion's acceptance <br />- -of the Housing Authority offer of $ 81, 667, ..00. Inquiry;. was <br />made as to the status of site improvements to be. accomplished in <br />the Chapin Street Project, R -29. Plans, for these site. improve- <br />ments, along with budget revision for the project, are in the <br />Chicago office now for approval, after which time the contract <br />will be let for construction. Initiation of site improvements <br />could begin this fall, however heavy work will probably be <br />delay d until after the winter season. A similar resolution will <br />be prE sented to the Commission for approval of the .sale.of <br />Parcel No. 2 to the Park Department perhaps by the next regular <br />meeting. <br />b The Redevelopment staff -has completed analysts of the AVERAGE OF. <br />three completed reuse appraisals for the LaSalle ,Park Project, REUSE <br />R -57, prepared by Fred Babcock of Washington, D. C. Urban APPRAISALS FOR <br />Research Associates of Washington, D.C. and North Central R -57 APPROVED <br />Appra'sal Company of South Bend. The three_ independent studie -s <br />are generally in accord on reuse values, and upon staff <br />recommendation the Commission approved acceptance of the three - <br />appra sals and transmittal to Chicago DHUD office, upon the - - <br />motion by Mr. Kompar, seconded by Mr. Louis. <br />0 <br />c <br />The Commission approved the execution of Certificate of SAMPLE STREET, <br />Completion <br />Form for the United Beverage Cotnpany,•.Inc, of South: R-7,UNITED_ <br />Bend. <br />This Company has recently complied -with project :urban BEVERAGE <br />renewal <br />requirements according to staff, inspection report, DEPOSIT RETURN <br />except <br />for a patch of weeds which will be ,sprayed :with poison <br />in the <br />very near future.
