The LaSalle Park District Council filed complaint with the Redevelopment Department that the preliminary priority list for acquisition and relocation is unaccept ble, feeling that the central part of the project area is•the most blighted., The complaint will be considered, and the_. Redevelopment Department will do everything possible to bring satisfactory results. Temporary housing is the problem faced, but, after discu sion. of the pros and cons of the block houses for temporary reilocation,, the Redevelopment Commission agreed that these would not be used. Some possibilities to aid temporary - relocation iscussed were (1) development of leased properties by the Public Housing Authority, and (2) private construction of apartments o be sold to the Public Housing Authority. g. The residents also expressed disappointment over the schedule for street improve- ments and a ked why couldn't Jefferson or Washington Streets be paved this summer as they are in such terrible condition. It will be abo t 4 to 6 months before construction contracts could be awarded tecause Engineering Services require accurate studies and preparation of drawans, specifications, bid documents.
