GRADE, CURB AND WIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 154.
<br />RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, St. Joseph
<br />County, State of Indiana. That it is deemed necessary to improve Lincoln Street from
<br />the North' line of Michigan Avenue to the South line to property line and constructing cement.
<br />walk and curb on both sides of said street, in aceor, dance with the profile,details,d.r&Vdngs
<br />and specifications on file in the office of the department of the Board of Public Works of
<br />said City; and such improvement is now= o rde red.
<br />The cost of said improvement, including the cost of. street and,alley inter-
<br />sections, shall,be assessed upon the real estate abutting on said Lincoln Street all accord
<br />ing.-to the method and manner provided for in an Act of the. General Assembly of the State of
<br />Indiana, entitled "An Act Concerning Municipal Corporations," approved March 6, 1905, a6d
<br />in aceordan ce With and pursuant to the provisions of all amendatory and supplemental acts
<br />thereto , passed by the General Assembly of the State of -Indiana. Assessments, if deferred,
<br />are to be paid in ten equal annual installments, with interest at the rate of Six percent
<br />per annum. A bond or bonds shall be issued to the. contractor in payment of such work,unl-ess
<br />the property owners pay said assessment before said bond or bonds are issued. Under no
<br />circumstances shall the city of South Bend, be , or be held responsible for any sum or gums
<br />due from said property owner or owners for said work ear for the collection of the same, or
<br />for the payment of any bond, bonds, certificate or certificates, issued to said contractor
<br />in payment for such work, except for such moneys as shall have been actually received by
<br />the City from the assessments for such improvement, or such moneys as said City is by said
<br />above entitled Act required to pay. All proceed ngs had, and work done in the making of s&d
<br />said improvement, assessment of property, collection of assessments and issuance of bonds
<br />therefor, shall be as provided for in said above entitled Act and amendments thereto.
<br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the �2.2ftd. d%r of June 1912,
<br />and on the 29th� day f Junel912; yn the South Bend Daily Times. This Board will give a
<br />hearing on this resolution in its office in the City Hall on the 26th. day of July 1912.

<br />RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, St.
<br />'Joseph County, State of Indiana, That it is deemed necessary -to improve Division Street
<br />from the East line of Frances- Street to the West line of Eddy Street by const ru cti on of
<br />a cement walk and curb along the south line of said street and grading the roadway from the
<br />North property line to the F;outh curb line; All as shown on detail plans and profiles and
<br />specifications on file in the office of the Board of Public Works.
<br />And such improvement is now ordered, in accordance with the profile,
<br />.details, drawings and spec; fications on file in the office of the Department of the Board
<br />of Public Works of said City; and such improvement i.s now ordered -
