<br />GRADE, CURB AND WALK IMP P.OVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 156.
<br />RESOLVED BY the Beard of Public Works of the City of ' South Bend_, :St.
<br />Joseph County, State of Indiana, That it is deemed necessary to improve 11ron Street
<br />from Lincoln Street to Kosciuszko Street by grading the said street from property
<br />line to property line and constructing cement walk and. curb on both sides of said
<br />street where the same is not already constructed. Ind accordance with the prefile
<br />details., drawings and, specifications on file in the office of ,the departmt of the
<br />Board of Publiv Works of said City; and such improvement is now ordered.
<br />The cost of said improvement,including the cost of.street /and'Aalley inter
<br />sections, shall be assessed upon the real estate abutting on said Huron Street all
<br />according to the method and m-anner provided for in an Act of the General Assembly r
<br />of the State aP Indiana,entitled..,"An Act concerning Municipal Corperations9"approved
<br />March 6, 1905 and in accordance with and pursuant to the provisions of all amen-
<br />datery and supplemental acts thereto, passed by the General Assembly of the State of
<br />Indiana. Assessments, if deferred, are to be paid in ten equal annual installments
<br />with interest at the rate.of`Six per cent per annum. A Bond or bonds shall be issud
<br />to. the contractor in payment of such work,unless the property owners pay„.asaid assess
<br />ment before said bond ,)r bonds are issued. Under no-eireumstanoes shall the City
<br />of South Bend,be, or be held responsible for any sum or sums,due from said property
<br />owner or owners for said work or for the collection of the same, or for the -payment
<br />-.of any bend,bonds, ,.certifisaate or certificates, issued to .said contractor in payment
<br />for such work, except for such moneys as shall have been actually re cei -ved by the
<br />City from the assessments for such improvement, or such moneys as said City is by
<br />said above entitled Act required to pay. All proceedings had, and mrk done in the
<br />making of said improvement, assessment of property, collection of assessments and ie
<br />issuance of bonds ,therefor, shall be as provided for in said above entitled Act and
<br />amendments thereto .
<br />Notice of try-s resolution shall: be. published: oa:;the_I 22nd day of;:,Jui—*
<br />1912., and; on the 29th. day_of. June 1912 in the South Bend Daily Times. This Board
<br />will give a hearing on this resolution in its office in the City Hall on;the 26th.

<br />RESOLVED,, by the Board of Public Works of the City of. South Bend,St.
<br />i/Joseph County, State of Indiana, That it is deemed necessary to improve Nineteenth
<br />Street from the North line of Mishawaka Avenue to the south line of the :Rrajid Trunk
<br />Western R.R. right-of-way By grading the said street from the center line to the -
<br />west property line and constructing cement walk and curb on the West side thereof,
<br />All as shown on detail plans and profiles and specifications on file in the .office
<br />of the Board of Public Works. And such improvement is now ordered, in accordance
<br />with the profile, --details, drawings and specifications on file in the office of the
<br />Department of the -Board of Public Works of said City;
<br />The cost of said improvement,including the cost of street -and alkyy
<br />intersections, shall be assessed upon the real estate abutting on said Nineteenth
<br />Street, all according to the method and ma ner provided for in an. Act of the General
<br />Assembly of the State of Indiana, entitled "An Act Concerning Municipal Corporation;
<br />approved March 6, 1905, and in accordance with and pursuant to the provisions of
<br />all amendatory and supplemental acts thereto, passed by the General Assembly of the
<br />State of Indiana. Assessments, if deferred, are to be paid. in ten equal annual ins-
<br />stallmenta with interest at the rate of Six per cent per annum. A bond or",bonds,
<br />s all be issued to the contractor in payment of such work, unless the property
<br />owners pay said assessment before said Bond or Bonds are issued. Under.' no air-
<br />cumstances shall the City of South Bend, be, or be held responsible for any sum or
<br />sums, due, from said property owner or owners, for said work or for the collection
<br />of the same, or for the payment of any bond, bonds, certificate or certificates,
<br />issued to said contractor in payment for such work, except for such moneys as rhall
<br />have been actually received Ivy the City from the assessments for such improvements
<br />or such moneys as said City is by said above entitled Act required to pay. All
<br />proceedings had, and work done in t e making of said improvement, assessment. of
<br />property, collection of assessments and issuance of, bonds therefor; shall be as
<br />provided for in said above entitled Act and amendments thereto.
<br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the <22nd. day of
<br />June 1912 and on the h- day of June 1912 in the South Bend Daily Times. This
<br />Board will fgi.vo a hearing on this resolution in its office in the City Hall on the
<br />26th. day of July 1912 at 7:45 P.M.
