RECOGNITION <br />The Employer recognizes the Union as <br />the sole and exclusive bargaining agent <br />for all employees employed in work <br />covered by the occupational jurisdiction <br />of the Union by Employer who are now <br />members of the Association or such <br />Employer as may hereinafter become <br />members of the Association. The Union <br />recognizes the Association as the sole <br />and exclusive bargaining agent for their <br />members and for such other firms, <br />persons or corporations as may hereafter <br />become members of the Association. <br />The parties agree that the collective <br />bargaining unit covered by this <br />Agreement is a single multi -employer <br />bargaining unit consisting of Employers <br />represented by the Contractor's <br />Association that are bound to this <br />Agreement, including any individual <br />Employers who are not members of the <br />Association but who sign the Agreement <br />and agree to be bound to it in writing. <br />Local Union #395 recognizes the <br />Employer as authorized to act in <br />collective bargaining negotiations for all <br />their members and for non-member <br />Employers who agree to sign the <br />Agreement or agree to be bound to it in <br />writing. <br />STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE <br />There shall be a partnership between <br />officers and members of the Union and <br />the Contractors to participate in <br />programs and initiatives intended to <br />improve productivity, safety, quality and <br />the overall betterment of the construction <br />industry. <br />(A) Standard of Excellence: Every <br />Local #395 Ironworker will agree to the <br />principles and ideals of the Ironworkers <br />Standards of Excellence by signing a <br />participation agreement. <br />3 4 <br />
