Section 5. Any Cement Mason called to a job after pouring has started shall <br />receive pay from the time the pour was started, providing that he has not worked <br />previously that day. <br />Section 6. No Journeyman shall be told to leave the job and return later unless <br />his is paid continuous time. When work extends beyond four (4) hours after established <br />quitting time, there shall be a thirty (30) minute lunch period. <br />Section 7. Holidays: All work done on Sunday, New Year's Day, Memorial <br />Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving Day, and <br />Christmas Day, or any day celebrated as such, shall be paid for at the rate of double time, <br />and under no consideration shall any work be performed on Labor Day. If it is necessary <br />to work on any of the above mentioned days, it shall be by mutual consent of both parties <br />tot his Agreement. If a holiday falls on Sunday it will be celebrated on Monday. <br />Section 8. Overtime: <br />(a) All work over eight (8) hours or after forty (40) straight time hours <br />weekly, shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/2). All work <br />performed on Saturday will be paid at time and one-half, except when <br />being used as a make-up day. <br />(b) Saturday as a. Male- Da Saturday may be used as a make- <br />up day for only for Employees who have worked for the Employer <br />four or fewer days during the current pay period due to inclement <br />weather. Time and one-half will be paid for any time worked over <br />eight (8) hours or after forty (40) hours straight time, whichever comes <br />first, when using Saturday as a make-up day. Saturday as a make-up <br />day is at the sole option of the Employee, and no discrimination or <br />pressure of any kind will be used to persuade the Employee to work on <br />Saturday if it is not the Employee's desire. <br />(c) Overtime pay on Saturday may be denied to any Employee who <br />habitually calls off from work earlier in the week when work was <br />made available after the Employer and the Business agree there is a <br />pattern to the Employee's call -offs. <br />(d) The Superintendent and Cement Masons will coordinate the finishing <br />operation so that all employees have a thirty (30) minute opportunity <br />to eat anytime during the shift at the Employer's discretion, or <br />overtime will be paid as stipulated in Article VI, Section 1. The lunch <br />periods will be staggered by the employees as concrete allows. <br />Section 9. Pay ay When a Journeyman is to be discharged, he must be <br />notified and paid in full at least fifteen (15) minutes before quitting time. Journeymen <br />working after the regular quitting time on the day of lay-off or discharge shall be paid the <br />following day, either at a place mutually agreed upon, or mailed to Employee's residence. <br />When a Journeyman is to be laid -off and his Employer utilizes Direct Deposit, he will be <br />notified at least fifteen (15) minutes before quitting time and be paid in full on the <br />Employer's next regular pay day. <br />11 <br />
