The first shift (day shift) shall be worked between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 <br />pm. Workmen on the day shift shall receive eight (8) hours pay at the regular hourly, rate <br />for eight (8) hours worked. <br />The second shift (swing shift) shall be worked between the hours of 4:30 pm and <br />12:30 am. Workmen on the "swing shift" shall be guaranteed eight (8) hours pay at the <br />regular hourly rate for seven and one-half (7 1/z) hours work after commencement of the <br />work unless work is prevented by an act of God. <br />The third shift (graveyard shift) shall be worked between the hours of 12:30 am <br />and 8:00 am. Workmen on the "graveyard shift" shall be guaranteed eight (8) hours pay <br />at the regular hourly rate for seven (7) hours work after the commencement of the work <br />unless work is prevented by an Act of God. <br />A lunch period of thirty minutes shall be allowed on each shift. All overtime <br />work required after the completion of a regular shift shall be paid at one and one-half <br />times the hourly rate. <br />There shall be no pyramiding of overtime rates and double the straight -time rate <br />shall be the maximum compensation for any hours worked. <br />There shall be no requirement for a day shift when either the second or third shift <br />is worked. <br />Section 2 b). In places of business where the Contractor is unable to work <br />during regular working hours and must work at the convenience of the owner, this work <br />shall be done at the regular hourly rate plus 12% premium. Hours worked after midnight <br />shall be done at the regular hourly rate plus 15% premium. <br />Section 3. Call In Pay: Whenever a Cement Mason is hired or ordered to a <br />job and not put to work, the Employer shall pay him two (2) hours pay unless prevented <br />by strike or an Act of God, provided he remains on the job if requested. Any Employee <br />starting to work shall receive not less than four (4) hours pay, and any Employee working <br />after noon shall receive eight (8) hours pay. Men called to work after established noon <br />hour shall receive no less than four (4) hours pay unless prevented by strike or an Act of <br />god. Employees to receive a foresaid wages must remain on the job if required, and <br />perform any Cement Masons work as directed by the Superintendent or Cement Masons <br />Foreman. <br />Section 4. ;banning ,Tole: The Contractor or his representative and his <br />Cement Mason Foreman maintains the right to determine the amount of concrete to be <br />poured, however, no Contractor is to pour more concrete than can be finished by the <br />Cement Masons available at the time of pouring. <br />10 <br />
