Public Hearing <br />(1) continued... <br />and extending parts of Burns, Dewey, <br />Georgiana and Corby Streets, upgrading and <br />replacing water mains and sewers, extending <br />and upgrading electrical, telephone and high <br />speed Internet service. Without these <br />infrastructure improvements we would not be <br />able to complete our project. We are very <br />eager to have this project move forward. I <br />think Mr. Inks has already talked about the <br />economic impact of this project. We believe <br />that the Northeast Neighborhood residents <br />and future citizens will benefit from the <br />project just by its being there, but there will <br />be employment opportunities and <br />enhancements that will be great for the <br />neighborhood. We think for these reasons <br />that household earnings will increase in the <br />Northeast Neighborhood and that people will <br />move or relocate to the Northeast <br />Neighborhood and will be a part of the whole <br />project. I know that there is a lot of private <br />investment and some public investment for <br />the Eddy Street Commons project. The <br />private investment far exceeds the public <br />investment at about five to one. We think this <br />is a good combination of private and public <br />partnerships, and we would like to see this <br />resolution approved. <br />MR.
