4 <br />MC <br />�ir:�m� S era �a_u�i uIIVa� <br />Government Center Energy Recovery Ventflafion System <br />A new energy recovery ventilation (ERV) system was installed on the upper level roof at the Government <br />Center to provide conditioned minimum ventilation air to the FCUs. <br />How Say.1m Were DeteEMlned —The energy savings for the Government Center Energy Recovery Ventilation <br />System were calculated using eQUEST, which is a DOE2 energy simulation software. The baseline eQUEST input <br />file details the building components, occupancy schedules, lighting schedules, equipment efficiencies, etc. in <br />order to establish the building's baseline energy consumption. The modeled energy consumption was <br />compared to, and adjusted to match, the actual utility bill data. Modifications were then made to the baseline <br />energy model to simulate the energy savings that result from installing an energy recovery ventilation system <br />to provide conditioned outside air for minimum ventilation to all of the FCUs. The minimum outside air is <br />ducted to the FCUs at the point of or return air transition to the fan coils. <br />
