All time spent loading or unloading a vehicle, supervising, or assisting in <br />the loading or unloading, attending a vehicle being loaded or unloaded, <br />remaining in readiness to operate the vehicle, or in giving or receiving <br />receipts of shipments loaded and unloaded. <br />f. All time repairing, obtaining assistance, or remaining in attendance upon <br />on a disabled vehicle. <br />3.3 MANDATORY SUBSTANCE ABUSE TESTING POLICY FOR ALL UNION <br />AND NON -UNION SALARIED AND HOURLY EMPLOYEES <br />A. Purpose <br />1. It is Bowen's policy to provide a safe working environment for all <br />employees and to continue the tradition of the highest standards of <br />quality in services. This policy has been established for several reasons. <br />The use of drugs and alcohol lead to unsafe working conditions for <br />workers; the "impaired worker" is a potential hazard to himself and for <br />those working with him. The purpose of the program is to establish and <br />maintain a drug -free, alcohol -free, safe, and healthy work environment <br />for all workers. <br />2„ Upon your agreement to participate you will be bound to the conditions <br />and provisions in Section 3.2 of this policy, sub -parts B-J. <br />3, All employees presenting for a drug and/or alcohol screen must have a <br />valid photo ID. <br />4. Form 003-3.3-01 Medical Services Authorization must be filled out and <br />presented to the clinic for services needed. <br />B. Policy <br />1. GENERAL PROVISIONS <br />a. Pursuant to the Drug -Free Workplace Act of 1988, the unlawful <br />manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession, or use of a <br />controlled substance in the workplace is prohibited. <br />Any employee who violates the above rule may be subject to <br />disciplinary action, up to and including termination. <br />DOT covered employees will not be permitted to perform safety - <br />sensitive functions until a negative test results is reported and DOT <br />rehabilitation requirements have been completed. <br />Last Revised: May 2016 Section 3 Page 3 <br />
