<br />' IMPROVEME'•IT RESOLUTION CIO. #137
<br />RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works of the City Of South Bend,Indi ana: That
<br />it is deemed. and desired necessary to construct a local sewer, whose property eabuts thereon
<br />as followg,to-wit
<br />Beginning at the intersection. of Nbtro Da me and Miner;.Street;thence .east along
<br />the center line of said Miner Street to the center of Eddy Street with 'a10 inch vitrified
<br />pipe sewer,t gether with the house connections to the curb line € long the line of said im-
<br />provement,and said sewer,vritlL all appurtenances, shall be constructed A in accordance with the
<br />profiled details,drawings snd.-aecificstions on file in the Off3.ce of the Department of
<br />Board of Public Works of said City;a.,nd such improvement is now ordered.
<br />Said im1frovement shall be known and de,-i nated as 1AINER STREET LOCAL SEWER,Under
<br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION # 137 IN CITY OF SOUTH BEND,INDIA,NA.
<br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 9th. day of March 1912, 'and
<br />on the 16th. day of March,1912, in the South Bend Daily Times.
<br />Said Board has fixed the 12th. day of April 1912 as a, date upon which remonstrance
<br />may be filed or heard by persons interested or affected by said improvements and on said
<br />day at 7:45 P.M. said Board will at its said office hear and consider any remonstrators and
<br />perrzons interested or whose property is affected by said public improvement and will decide
<br />whether the benefits that will accrue to the Property, abutting and adjacent to the proposed
<br />improvements and to said City2wi.11 equal to, or exceed the estimated cost of the proposed
<br />improvements, as estimated by the City Civil Engineer. A Bond or Bonds to be issued to
<br />the contrac-br in payment of such work where the property owner siens waiver reauired,a s
<br />according to law. Which said Bonds shall bear interest at the rate of six per cent per
<br />anh mipayable as provided by law.
<br />Motion made, seconded and carried, that the foregoing resolution be unanimously adopted by
<br />the Board. on the 8th. day of March,1912.
<br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 139.
<br />RESOLVED' by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
<br />That it is deemed and desired necessary to construct a local sewer,intended and adapted
<br />only for local use by the property holders whose property abuts thereon,as follows,Ito-=wit
<br />Beginning at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Johnson Street,thence
<br />North along the center line of s id Johnson Street to the center of Vassar Avenue With a
<br />12 inch vitrified pipe sewer,together with the house connection to the curb line along the
<br />line of said improvement, and said sewer,with all Appurtenances, shall be constructed in
<br />accordance with the profiles,details, drawings and specifications on file in the office of
<br />the Department of Board of Public Works of said City; and such ,improvement i s now ordered.
<br />Said Improvement shall be knovm and des'ignatec', as JOHRTSON STREET LOCAL SEWER

<br />Concerning the improvement of Carrell Court from S&riple Street to Tutt Street in
<br />pursuance of -Improvement Resolution No. 116 &116-A. 1912 of the City of South Bend,Ind.
<br />preliminary order for s,id improvement heretofore adopted is Hereby confirmed The Board
<br />now orders that so much of said ..street be improved with Vitrified Bri ck,la:id can & gravel
<br />foundation and awaadds the contract to C.H.DEFREES be being the lowest abd best bidder up-
<br />on Marion Block.
