Friday March 8th. 1912. Continued. IMP ROV MV1E'Tf RESOLUTION NO. 139 RESOLVED, By the Beard of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana That it is deemed necessary to improve Niles Avenue from Howard Street to Leeper Avenue. By grading the said Niles Avenue from property _line to property line and construction of. cement curb and walks on both. sides of said Avenue in accordance V1 th profile 2det€Ils,drawings and specifications on file in the office of the Department of Board of Public Works of said City; rind. Such improvement is now ordered. Said improvement shall be 1� nown and designated as NILES AVENUE GRADE, CURB AND WALK, IMP ROVE-AENT RESOLUTION# 139 IN THE CITY OF SOUTH sEND,I TDIANA.. Notice of, thi s resolution shall be published ::oncthe° 12t;h` day of: iikarch, 1912 and on the 19th. day of Larch 1912 in the South Bend Daily Times. Said Board has fixed the 9th. day of April,l12 as a date upon which re— monstrances may be filed or heard by persons interested or affected by said public improvements and on said .day at 1000''A'.M. said Board will at its said office hear and consider any remonstrators and persons interested or whose property is affected by said public improvement and will decide whether the benefits that will accrue to, the prope rtyzpabutting and adjacent to the proposed improvements and to said City, wil will be equal to, or exceed the estimated cost of the proposed improvements, as estim eted by the City Civil Engineer. A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the contractor in payment of such work where the property owner signs waiver required, as according to law. Which said Bonds shall bear interest at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable as provided by law. Motion made, seconded and ca,rriad,, that the foregoing resolution be unanimously a - dopted by the Board on this 8th. day of March. 1912. Street 1 :°rom Milton Avenue -to Dayton Street. By grading the said Alley from property line to property line. All in accordance with profiles.details, drawings and specificatin on I'ile in the, office of the Department of the Board of Public Works of said City: and :such improvement is now ordered. Said Improvement shall be known and de si znat ed as1, Rs ALLEY EAST OF _iIGH STREET BY GRADINCT TO TIiF: ESTABLISH GRADE. IMPRO VFu} ENT RESOLUTION # 140 in the CITY OF SOUTH BEND,INDIANA. Alley South o-f Washington Street and find that C..H.DeFrees is the lowest and best bidder upon Marion Brick Block laid upon a gravel foundation I therefore recommend that he be awarded the contract.
