<br />IMPRUVENT RESOLUTION NO. 113. A.
<br />.RESOLVED, By the Board. of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
<br />That an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows:
<br />That : Whereas, A petition has been submitted to the i.::oard of Public Works by the
<br />re -i dent freeholders on Portage i.venue ..from the Mi chi gan Central R. R. right -of-way
<br />to the Alley North of Kinyon ,Street, prop sed to be improved, pursuant to ImproveAent
<br />Resolution .No. 113 passed by the Board of Public works on the 9th. day of January
<br />1912; and, WHEREAS, this Board of Public Works find that said petitioners have complie,
<br />with all steps required by law, and that said petition contains tr,e signatures of a
<br />majority of the resident freeholders on said Avenue to be improved;now,THEREFORE,
<br />Be it resolved, by the Board of Public Works of the City of ,South Bend, Indiana, that
<br />the said preliminary resolution be €,nd is hereby modified in accordance with said pet-
<br />ition so as to include 'said pavement so petitioned for, and the detail plans and speci
<br />fications for said pavement as prepared by the City Engineer, are hereby approved and
<br />adopted, and same are hereby incorporated herein, and made a part of said preliminary
<br />resolution for the improvement of Portage Avenue from the Michigan Central R.R. right-
<br />of-way to he Alley north of Kinyon Street.
<br />Said improvement shall be known and designated as PORTAGE AVENE FROM
<br />MIC'=II;.JAN CENTRAL R.R. RIGHT OF WA Y TO A!:,LEY NORTH OF KINYON STREET BRICK PAVEMENT
<br />IMPROVEMENT, and shall be constructed according to the plans and specifications
<br />prepared by the City Ci"vil Engineer,filed herewith. This Board will give a hearing
<br />on this resolution at its of-f'ice in the City Hall on the 9th. day of February.
<br />1912 at,7:15 P.M. A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for such
<br />work where the property owner signs waiver required, as according to law. Which
<br />said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of six per cent per annum,payable as pro-
<br />vided by law.

<br />freeholders on Carroll Court from Sample.Street to Tutt Street, propsed to be improved
<br />pursuant to Improvment Resolution No. 116-passed by the Board of Public Works -on the
<br />loth. day of January 19122and, WHEREAS,This Board of Public Works find that said
<br />petitioners have complied with all steps required by law, and that said petition con-
<br />tains tie signatures of a majority of the resident freeholders on said street to be
<br />improved; now, THEREMRE, Be it resolved, by the Board of Public Works of the City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana, that the said preliminary resolution be and is hereby modified in
<br />accordance wit , said petition so as to include said pavement so petitioned for, and thf
<br />detail plans and specifications for said pavement as prepared by the City Engineer, arf
<br />hereby approved and adopted, and s€,sne are hereby incorporated herein, and made a part
<br />of said preliminary resolution for the improvement of Caroll-Court from Tutt Street to
<br />Sample St reet .
<br />.Said improvement shall be known and designated as CARROLL COURT FROM
<br />TUTT STREET TO St3:MPLE STREET BRICK PAVRIENT IMPROVEMENT. NO. 116 and shall be con-
<br />structed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil Engin-
<br />eer,filed herewith. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office
<br />in the City Ball on the 13th. day of February at 10:00 A.-M. A Bond or Bonds to be
<br />issued to the Contractor in payment for such work where the property owner signs
<br />Waiver required, as according to law. Which said bonds shall bear interest atthe
<br />rate of six per cent per annum,payable as provided by law.
