esday. January 23rd: 1912. Board met in regular session at 10:00 A. M. Mr. Lambert absent. Petition received from Henry DeVos asking for an extention of time . for the Com- petion of the South Bend Avenue and Fellow Street Sewers. The Board granted him Petition for a Pipe Sewer on Harris Street from:Division Street to the Grand Trunk Railroad., received, and the same referred to the City Engineer for investigation. -Plat of the Garr Land Comp a":y' , submitted to the Board for^ approval, the same re- ferred to the City Engineer for investigation. Minutes of the meeting of January 19th. read and approved. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 112. A. RESOLVED,, by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend,Indiana That;WHEPEAS, A petition has been submitted to the Board.of Public Works by the resident freeholders on Walnut Street from Colfax Avenue �to La Porte Avenue, pro- posed to be improved, pursuant to . Improvement Resolution No. 112 passed by the Board of Public Works on the loth. day of January 1912, tmd WHEREAS, This Board of Public Works find that said petitioners have complied with all steps required by law, and that said. petition contains the signatures of a majority of the resident freeholders on said Street to be improved;now,THEREFORE, Be it resolved, by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana; that the said preliminary resolution be and is hereby modified in accordance with said petition so as to in- clude said pavement so petitio ned for, and the detail plans and spe ifications for said pavement as prepared by the City Engineer, are hereby approved and adopted, and same are riereby incorporated herein, and made a part of said preliminary res- olution for the improvement of Walnut Street from Colfax Avenue to La Porte Avenue. Said improvement shall be known and desiunated as WALNUT STREET FROM COLFAX AVENUE TO LA PORTE AVENUE, BRICK PAV&liENT, and shall be constructed accord- ing to the plans and speci ications prepared by the City Civil Engineer filed here- with. This Board will give a nearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 9th. day of February 1912 at 7:15 P.M. A Bond or Bands to be i,�-sued to the Cont-actor in payment for such work where the property ovrner signs waiver requi rec , as according to law. Which said bonds shall bear interest at the rate of six per cent,per annum, payable as provided by law. Adopted this 23rd: day of January 1912. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO.: 117 A. RESOLVED, by the Board o f Public Wo rk s of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That; Whereas,A petition has been submitted to the Board of Public Works by the re^i.dent freeholders on Alley East of Emeri ck Street from La Salle to Colfax Ave. proposed to '0e improvedlpurstaant to Improvement Resolution N3.117 passed by the Board of P?blj n Works on the loth. day of January 10,12,and,Whereas,This Board of Public 'Forks find that sk-,.id petitioners have complied vrith all steps required by law, and that said petition contains the signatures of a majority of the res- ident freeholders on -said Alley to be improved;now, Therefore, Be it resolved -,by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend,Indiana that said preliminary resolution be and is hereby modified in accordance with said petition so as to include s Ad. pavement so petitioned for, and the detail plans and specifications for said pavement as prepared by the City Engineer,are hereby approved and adopted and same are hereby incorporated herein and made a part of said preliminary resolution for the improvement of Alley East of Emerick Street from La Salle Avenue to Colfax Avenue. Said improvement shall be known and designated as Alley East of Eme ri ck Street from La Salle Avenue to Colfax Avenue, Improvement Resolution No.117-A. This Board will g;~ive a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall on the 13th. day of February 1912 at 10:00 A. A. A Bond or Bonds to be i^cued to the contractor in payment for such work where the property ovaler signs waiver required,as according to law. Which said Bonds shall bear interest at tile rate of six per cent,per annum,payable as pro- vided by law. Adopted this 23rd day of January 1912
