<br />RESOLVED, by the Board. of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana:
<br />That it is desired and deemed necessary to make the following described Public In-
<br />provements in the aforesaid City as authorized by the following numbered. improvemet
<br />Resolution adopted by said Board on the- loth. day of January 1912.
<br />Resolved that an improvement be reade of the kind, size, location and. termi4al
<br />points as follows: To improve the First Alley north of 0�s�shington Avenue from
<br />William ;:)treet to Taylor Street. By Grading and paving the roadway,- also grad.inE;
<br />,and paving the roadway of intersecting; and entering streets and. alleys lying within
<br />said portion of said Alley nort1. of Washington Avenue not included in the roadway
<br />to be improved, with Asphalt, Bitulithic, Brick or Creosoted Wooden Block, laid on
<br />a. five (5) inch portland cement > ravel goncrete 'ound tion, from property line to.
<br />property line, placing t~Ie necessary marginal curb, also the construction of the
<br />necessary storm water inlets all as shown on the plans, and in accordance with the
<br />profiles, detail plans and. specifications oft.rile in the.office of the Department r
<br />of Public Works of sai(I. City. And such improvement is now ordered.
<br />Said mproVements shall be know and de'si::rated as .ALLEY NORTH OF t�M-TINGTON

<br />office hear and consider any remonstrators and pf r. -;ons interested or whose property
<br />is affected by said public i.mprovenent and will decide wriether tAe benefits that
<br />will accrue to the property, abutting and adjacent to the proposed improvements and
<br />to said City, will be equal to, or exceed tr�E_ estimated cost of the proposed im-
<br />provement,-,, as estimated by V"e City Civil Engineer.
<br />A Bond or bonds to be irsuee', to the contractor in payment of uch work where the
<br />property owner signs wa iver i (quired, as accordin - to law. Wni en Paid bonds shall
<br />bear interest at the rate of six per cent pPr annum, payable as provided by law.
