IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 79. RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indi.%naa,, that it is desired and deemed necessary to make the following described public improvements in -the aforesaid city as authorized by the following numberd improvement resolution adopted by said Board on the 26th. day of May 1911. Revolved that an improvement be made of. the kind,' size, location and terminal points as follows:' That it is deemed necessary to improve south Michigan Street from Ewing Avenue to a point one and one half Miles South (Leepr Road) By maeadaamizing a strip 12 or 16 feet wide with gravel or lime stone. The depth shall be nine(9) inches on the sick and twelve(12) inches in the center, all as shown on detail plans, profile and specification on file in the office of the Department of Public Works of said City. And such improvement is now ordered. • .Said Improvements shall be known and designated as SOUTH MICHIGAN STREET MACADAM IMPRO17EMMTT FROM EWING AVENUE TO THE LEE?ER ROAD. Said Board has fixeA the 14th. day of July as aa, date upon which remora - stances may be filed or heard by persons interested or affected by said public improvements and on said day at 7;15 P. M. said Board will at its said office hear and consider any remonstrators and persons interested or whose property is affected by said public improvement and will decide whether the benefits that will accrue to the property, abutting; and adjacent to the proposed improvements and to said city, will be equal to, or exceed the estimated cost of the proposed improvements, as estimated by the City Civil Engineer. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 5th. day of June a d on t e 12th. day of June 1911 in the South Bend, Daily Timer. A Bond or bonds to be issued to the contractor in payment of such work where the property owner -signs waiver required, as according to law which said bonds s?Zall bear interest at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable as provided by law. By grading and paving the roadway. from curb line with Coal Tar Filled Macadam or Asphalt Filled Macadam eight(S) inches in depth. All as shown on detail plans, rpofiles and specifications on File in the Department of the Public Works of the said City. And such improvemk is now ordered.
