MICHELS CORPORATION - STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS <br />• Increase our hybrid and or alternative fuel vehicles by 15 percent as we purchase new <br />vehicles. <br />• Reduce idling time by 10 percent. <br />7 Quality Management System (QMS) <br />7.1 Overview <br />Michels maintains its own comprehensive ISO -based Quality Management System (QMS) <br />Manual that provides all of our operating divisions with standardized guidance on implementing <br />the QMS, and a Site Specific Quality Plan (SSQP) that thoroughly addresses the various <br />scopes of work to be performed on a particular project. These documents outline the roles and <br />responsibilities of on -site personnel and define the controls put in place to effectively manage <br />and document the work quality of Michels and any subcontractors or vendors participating on <br />the project. <br />The SSQP incorporates any detailed specifications and installation instructions provided or <br />required by the project owner, engineer, manufacturer or regulatory authority. <br />For additional information regarding Michels' QMS, please contact Jon Connaway, Corporate <br />Quality Manager at 920.539.3583 or °connawa @rmichels.us. <br />7.2 Michels Quality Policy and Objectives <br />"We are committed to continual improvement, providing the highest level of quality service and <br />exceeding our customer's requirements." <br />The following project objectives are established to support this policy: <br />• Maximize Safety in Construction and Operations <br />• Minimize Environmental Impact <br />Continual Improvement and Reduction of Rework <br />• Improved Utilization of Assets and Labor <br />• Compliance with Project Requirements, Governing Laws and Regulations <br />• Foster Good Public Relations <br />7.3 Commitment of Resources <br />Michels has committed the personnel and resources necessary to manage and construct to <br />meet or exceed project requirements. The Michels Quality personnel regularly monitor pertinent <br />service activities and work closely with the Owner and Michels management, engineering, and <br />construction personnel to establish and maintain the quality of workmanship and materials <br />35 <br />
